MoeMaKa Multimedia is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit media organization dedicated to independent journalism, multimedia storytelling, civic information, and preserving Myanmar's contemporary history.
Founded in 2003, MoeMaKa has grown from an online Burmese publication into a nonprofit multimedia organization serving Myanmar communities inside the country and across the global diaspora. Through journalism, digital media, community engagement, and public-interest reporting, we provide trusted information, amplify diverse voices, and document Myanmar's social, cultural, and democratic developments.
Today, MoeMaKa carries out its mission through three flagship initiatives:
MoeMaKa News – Independent journalism, commentary, and public-interest reporting.
m.CDM Multimedia – Daily multimedia news, audio, video, and visual storytelling.
Myanmar Spring Project – Documentation and analysis of Myanmar's democratic movement and humanitarian developments.
To strengthen informed communities through trusted journalism, multimedia storytelling, civic information, and historical documentation while supporting freedom of expression and independent media.
A future where Myanmar communities have access to independent information, diverse voices, and a preserved historical record that supports democracy, human rights, and cultural understanding.
